RE: Response to COVID-19
To Employees, Participants and Community Partners,
We have been monitoring very closely the COVID-19 situation and are in constant communication with the County of Simcoe representatives, as well as gathering information from the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit and our provincial government.
In consultation with the Board Chair I have made the following decisions.
As of Monday March 16, 2020, all EarlyON Child and Family Centres and Satellite Sites will be closed for all drop-in programs, registered programs and partner programs our of our locations for 3 weeks.
We hope to reopen on Monday, April 6, 2020, yet please be advised that external factors may come into play and we may require continued closures. Please keep checking our Facebook page and website.
We recognize that during these confusing and uncertain times, accessing basic needs can be challenging. On the morning of Monday March 16 from 9 am to 12 pm, ONLY, the Midland and Orillia sites will be offering our EMERGENCY baby needs depot services. Please practice all recommended health and safety preventative measures.
Do not visit any of our sites if:
• If you have travelled outside of Canada within the last 14 days;
• If you live with anyone that has travelled outside of Canada within the past 14 days;
• If you are or someone you live with are exhibiting any flu like systems such as cough, fever, or difficulty breathing;
• We are asking that you do not visit for a full 14 days following your return to Canada and with confirmation that you are not exhibiting symptoms of or test positive for COVID-19.
Once again, please keep monitoring our website and Facebook page for more information and possible further opportunities to access our EMERGENCY baby needs depot throughout the closures.
For more local information about COVID-19, please visit the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit website at www.smdhu.org or call 1-877-721-7520.
I thank you for your patience.
